PADI Open Water DiverIf you experienced the thrill and tranquility of the underwater world through one of the PADI experience programs and want to take the next step toward a certified rating, this is where it all starts, with the PADI Open Water Diver course.
This course gives you the necessary skills to become a certified Open Water Diver under the direction of a certified instructor. Upon successful completion of this course you'll receive an internationally recognized scuba diving certificate that allows you to dive anywhere in the world. Take the first step to become a certified scuba diver and earn your rating to dive independently.
We offer this course in two options; Resort program that starts the day you arrive and our time-saving Home Study program that starts at home before you arrive.
Resort Program (5-day course)The resort program starts when you arrive. There is 1.5 days of theory in the classroom, followed by 1.5 day of confined water training, and finally 2 days of open water training. You'll gain the necessary skills to become a certified Open Water Diver under the direction of a certified instructor.
Upon successful completion of this course you'll receive an internationally recognized scuba diving certificate that allows you to dive anywhere in the world.
Home Study Program (3-day course)Similar to the resort program, only the home study program is for people who completed the academic modules (theory) at home, and complete their confined and open water training while on vacation. Our instructor picks up where you left off in your training to complete your qualifying requirements.
This is an excellent time saving option for those who want to start learning diving skills before they arrive so they can get in the water quicker! Upon successful completion of this course you'll receive an internationally recognized scuba diving certificate that allows you to dive anywhere in the world.
Our approach for the home study program is simple; you complete the academic portion of the Open Water Diver course before you arrive. This means completing all 5 modules of the PADI Open Water manual. You must read all 5 modules and complete the short quizzes at the end of each module (write down your answers and bring them with you).
Upon arrival you'll meet with your instructor to start your student folder, complete all required forms (we provide these), prepare your equipment, answer any questions you may have and take 4 short quizzes (10 multiple questions each). After successfully completing the 4 quizzes and reviewing any missed questions, you can take the final exam (50 multiple choice questions).
