PADI Enriched Air (Nitrox) Diver
|
Duration: 1 Day
The PADI Enriched Air Diver course is typically taught in one day. It
provides recreational divers the knowledge needed to plan and execute
recreational Nitrox dives. This course includes knowledge development,
two practical application sessions and two optional Enriched Air
training dives, taken from the boat or shore depending on which resort
you are taking the course. We do ask that you complete 1 day's
recreational diving before taking this course to check weights, buoyancy
and equipment.
When diving with enriched air (Nitrox) instead of normal air you can
extend your no-decompression limits. This means more time underwater.
For example, if you dive to 15 meters on air, your no-decompression
limit is 80 minutes. But if you make the same dive profile on EANx36 you
will have 220 minutes of no-decompression time. The PADI Enriched Air
Diver Specialty course focuses on the theoretical and operational
considerations associated with enriched air diving.
